Classical Life Drawing and Sketching
Summer Saturday Class -- 4 weeks
Classes on: July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31
(No class on July 3rd)
Tuition: $140
4 week Saturday session from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at the School of Representational Art.
Instructors: Ben Rathbone & Jessica Smit

This is a continuation of the Spring Classical Life Drawing Class. Students will continue to learn the fundamental approaches to sight size and comparative drawing. Students from former weekend sessions will progress to other mediums besides graphite at the discretion of the instructors.


Summer Atelier: June 14 - August 4
Tuition:
$850 - full time rate (both Monday and Wednesday sessions)
$500 - part time rate (half day or 1 day per week instead of both days)
8 week Monday & Wednesday sessions from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Instructor: Michael Chelich

The summer atelier will feature models in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., then individual cubicle work on cast drawings and paintings, with critiques from the instructor. Beginners progress from charcoal drawings to grisaille paintings depending on experience, with mastery of charcoal drawing being the preliminary requirement. This program is the same curriculum as our normal full time program, and a great way to further your development in the classical realism style.



Landscape Painting Workshop

July 25th 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (painting)

Fee: $195 for all thee days including demo


Supplies recommended:
Outdoor easel or pochade box
9" x 12" or smaller cavas board or canvas
Oil colors of your preference (good to include a cadmium yellow, blue ultramarine, cadmium red, alizarine crimson, ivory black, raw umber, and titanium or flake white)
Oil brushes of various size
Turpenoid/ mineral spirit in portable container
Rag or roll of paper towel
A hat




ZBrush Workshop: TBA
Coming this September- this class will offer both instructions in the use of the ZBrush program as well as how to draw and model the human form from the fundamental techniques of classical realism.



Studio rental at the school available- $115 per month
